Our Services also include publicity and marketing activities, ticketing services (including ticket listing, sales, distribution, access control, and ticket verification), security and safety coordination, crowd management, design and decoration, and all other services necessary for the proper organization, execution, or delivery of events and entertainment experiences.
Our Services may be made available through digital platforms, mobile applications, websites, application programming interfaces, or other online or offline channels operated, managed, or authorized by us, collectively referred to as our Platform and Services.

When this Privacy Policy refers to an “Organizer,” it means any individual or entity that uses our Services to create, host, manage, or publish events for persons who access, view, attend, or otherwise engage with such events (each a “Consumer”). Organizers may use our Services for event-related or other lawful purposes.
Organizers, Consumers, and any other natural and lawful individuals or entities that access or use our Services are collectively referred to as “Users”, “user”, “you”, or “your”.
JOAC_B ECOSYSTEM LIMITED (RC: 8171752), a company duly incorporated in Nigeria (collectively referred to as “we,” “us,” ,”JOACB” “JOACB.COM” “JOAC B ENTERTAINMENT” or “our”) is the operator of our Platform and our Services. For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, JOAC_B ECOSYSTEM LIMITED (RC: 8171752), acts as the data controller in respect of personal data collected and processed through our Services, except where otherwise expressly stated.

“Organizers”
Individuals or entities who use the Services to organize, manage, or promote events, including collecting data from attendees for event-related purposes.
“Automatic Data”
Information collected automatically through the use of the Services, including IP address, browser type, device information, geolocation data, and usage data. This may include Personal Data if it can be used to identify a User.
“Privacy Officer”
The person or role responsible for overseeing compliance with this Privacy Policy and NDPR, and who can be contacted regarding any questions, complaints, or requests about Personal Data.
“Processing”
Any operation or set of operations performed on Personal Data, whether or not by automated means, including collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, disclosure, erasure, or destruction.

When you access or interact with our Platform or our Services, or when you engage with us in a commercial, sales, or prospective business capacity, we may collect and process Personal Data about you.
Depending on the circumstances, such Personal Data may be collected and processed either directly by us for our own purposes, or on behalf of an event Organizer that uses our Services to create, manage, or host events. Where we process Personal Data on behalf of an Organizer, we do so in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, and subject to appropriate contractual arrangements.
INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM ALL USERS
Information You Provide to Us
We collect Personal Data from all Users when such information is voluntarily provided through our Platform or our Services, including when you create an account, contact us with inquiries, participate in surveys, register for or purchase tickets to events, or otherwise browse or use certain features of our Services. The Personal Data we may collect includes, without limitation, your name, contact details, content preferences or interactions, and any other information you choose to provide that enables you to be identified, directly or indirectly.
Information We Automatically Collect
When you access or use our Services, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage data from your device or browser (“Automatic Data”). This may include unique device or browser identifiers, Internet Protocol (IP) address, device and browser characteristics, usage statistics, referral information, and data collected through cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers use this information to understand how Users interact with our Platform and to improve functionality and performance.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM ORGANIZERS
If you act as an Organizer on our Platform, we may collect additional Personal Data necessary to enable event creation, management, payments, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Information You Provide to Us
We may collect payment-related and financial information, including credit or debit card details, billing information, bank account details, and payout instructions, to process transactions and facilitate payments. Where required by law, we may also collect information for tax and regulatory purposes, such as taxpayer or business identification details. In addition, when you create or manage an event, we may request a telephone number and use verification messages to confirm your account and help prevent fraud and unauthorized activity.
Information We Obtain From Other Sources
We may also receive Personal Data about you from third-party sources, including payment processors, financial institutions, marketing partners, credit or identity verification services, and publicly available sources, to support payment processing, fraud prevention, and compliance obligations. All such data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023
INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM CONSUMERS
If you are a Consumer, we may collect additional Personal Data when you access or use our Platform or our Services. Depending on the context, such Personal Data may be collected by us for our own purposes or processed by us on behalf of an Organizer that offers an event through our Services.
Information You Provide Through Our Platform
When you register for or purchase access to a paid event, you may be required to provide payment and billing information, which may include financial details constituting Personal Data. In addition, Organizers may design event registration pages to request specific information from Consumers in connection with their events. While we provide the tools that enable such registration, Organizers determine the information they collect and how it is used. Where you submit Personal Data in connection with an Organizer’s event, that Organizer will receive and may process such data in accordance with its own privacy practices and applicable law.
Information We Obtain From Other Sources
We may also collect or receive Personal Data from third-party sources, including Organizers, other Users, social media platforms, integrated third-party services, payment providers, or financial institutions, to facilitate registrations, payments, and related services. All such processing is carried out in accordance with this Privacy Statement and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM SALES CLIENTS AND LEADS
If you engage with our sales team, we may collect Personal Data necessary to manage and respond to your inquiries. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, business or professional address, and other professional contact information.
When you participate in sales meetings, presentations, or demonstrations and provide consent, we may also collect audio and/or video recordings of such interactions. All Personal Data collected in this context is processed solely for purposes related to sales engagement, business communications, and record-keeping, in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We collect and process Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Personal Data will only be used for legitimate purposes related to the operation of our Platform, delivery of our Services, and compliance with applicable legal obligations.

We may also use your Personal Data on behalf of an Organizer, for example, where your prior interactions with an Organizer indicate potential interest in certain types of events. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from us or Organizers by following the instructions in the “Opt-Out from Electronic Communications” section below.
You may encounter advertisements for our Services on third-party websites, including social media platforms. We and Organizers may engage these third parties to display ads to Users or to individuals with similar attributes. This may involve sharing limited Personal Data, such as email addresses, with third parties to identify relevant audiences. If you do not want your Personal Data used for these purposes, please contact us using the channels on our platform or contact the Organizer directly for Organizer-related advertisements.
ORGANIZER EMAILS
We allow Organizers to use our email tools to contact Consumers regarding their current and past events. Consequently, you may receive emails that originate from Organizers but are sent through our Platform on their behalf. When you register for an event on our Platform, your email address may be accessible to the relevant Organizer.
Organizers may also import email addresses from external sources and send communications through our Platform to those addresses. In such cases, the Organizer, not us, is responsible for the content and delivery of these emails. You can opt out of Organizer-initiated emails at any time by following the instructions in the “Opt-Out from Electronic Communications” section below.
USE OF INTEREST-BASED DATA
We may make inferences about the types of events or activities you may be interested in based on your profile information, past events attended, and your use of our Platform. These inferences may be used to customize recommendations, target advertisements, or provide content relevant to you, including on behalf of Organizers.
Such targeting may occur on an individual basis or in an aggregated or generalized manner. For example, we may determine that Users interested in certain Organizers’ events are likely to attend similar future events, and we may display content or recommendations accordingly.
OTHER PURPOSES
If we intend to use any Personal Data in a manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, we will inform you of the intended use either at the time the Personal Data is collected or prior to such use. Where required, we will obtain your explicit consent before using your Personal Data for any new purpose.
AGGREGATED PERSONAL DATA
To better understand and serve our Users, we may analyze Personal Data together with other information we collect. This research is conducted on an aggregate basis so that individuals cannot be identified. Once Personal Data is aggregated in this manner, it is treated as Non-Personal Data under this Privacy Policy.
HOW WE DISCLOSE AND TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Background

Organizers
When you register for an event, sign up for communications, enter a contest, or otherwise provide your Personal Data (such as through a web form) to communicate with an Organizer or participate in an Organizer’s event, that Organizer will receive the information you provide. For example, if you submit your name and email address for an Organizer offer, activity, or event, the Organizer will receive that information and may use it to send marketing or other communications in accordance with its own privacy policy. If you provide your mobile phone number, you may also receive messages related to the service, event, or activity in which you expressed interest.
When you purchase tickets, register for or donate to an event, transfer a ticket or registration, enter a contest, or otherwise interact with an Organizer or Organizer event, the Organizer will receive your Personal Data, including the Personal Data of transferees where applicable. Third parties involved in promoting or supporting an event or activity may also receive your Personal Data. For instance, on fundraising pages, your Personal Data may be provided both to the charity hosting the fundraising event and the Organizer of the linked event.
In certain cases, an Organizer may appoint a Third-Party (a “Third-Party Organizer”) to create or manage an event or fundraising page on its behalf. For example, a concert venue may allow third-party promoters or production companies to host events using its JOACB.com account. In such cases, your Personal Data may be shared with the Third-Party Organizers on behalf of the Organizer. The same applies to contests or sweepstakes, where your Personal Data may be shared with both the Organizer and any legal sponsor of the contest or sweepstakes.
JOACB is not responsible for the actions of Organizers, Third-Party Organizers, or any downstream recipients of your Personal Data. It is important that you review the privacy policies of the relevant Organizer, and where applicable, their appointed Third-Party Organizers, before providing Personal Data or other information in connection with an event, fundraising page, or contest. Similarly, if you are a member of an Organizer’s organization within JOACB, your Personal Data will be accessible to the Organizer and shared with any Third-Party Organizers permitted by the Organizer to view members of that organization.
Social Media and Other Third-Party Connections
- a. Connecting Your Account to Social Media Services
You may choose to connect your JOACB.COM account with third-party social media services. Where you do so, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, transfer, and storage of information associated with your social media account in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Nigerian data protection laws. Such information may include unique identifiers, names, email addresses, location data, profile information, and connection lists. This information is used to enable account integration and to provide features such as personalized content, recommendations, and content sharing, subject to your selected privacy settings.

Such activities may involve tools provided by us or third-party service providers. You may manage or opt out of such communications through the relevant platform or organizer.

we may allow you to access our services through, or integrate with, third-party services. Where you request or authorize such access or integration, we may disclose relevant Personal Data to those third parties solely to fulfill your request or provide the requested services. JOAC B ENTERTAINMENT does not control and is not responsible for the independent data processing practices of such third parties.

How We Store Your Personal Data

Personal Data collected by JOAC B ENTERTAINMENT may be stored directly by us or by authorized third-party service providers to whom such data is lawfully transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the NDPA. Where third parties are engaged, appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure that Personal Data is processed only for permitted purposes.

Where your Personal Data has been shared with an event organizer prior to a deletion or anonymization request, such data may continue to exist in the organizer’s independent records. Event organizers act as separate data controllers, and we do not control their independent data retention practices.
- d. Response to Requests
All requests to exercise data subject rights are assessed and responded to within the timeframes and conditions prescribed under the NDPA.
How Long We Retain Your Personal Data
- a. Retention During Service Use
we may retain your Personal Data for as long as you maintain an active account or otherwise use our Services. You may request deletion of your account and Personal Data at any time using the account settings or the contact methods provided on our platform.
- b. Retention After Account Deletion
Even after you delete your Personal Data, we may retain certain information for a limited period as necessary to comply with legal, tax, regulatory, or other lawful business requirements. Such data may persist in backup or archival systems but will be secured and used only for permitted purposes.

(a) Marketing Communications
Where permitted by your preferences, we may send you promotional emails about our Services or events you may be interested in. You may opt out at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email or managing your email preferences in your account settings.
(b) Organizer-Initiated Communications
Event organizers may send emails to those who have registered for their events. While these emails are sent through our system, we do not control their content or recipients. Organizers must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws when contacting you. Each email includes an “Unsubscribe” link to opt out from that Organizer’s communications.
(c) Social Notifications
If you link social media accounts to the Services, you may receive notifications about friends’ activities. You can manage or disable these notifications in your social settings or by disconnecting the integration.
(d) Transactional or Responsive Communications
Certain emails are necessary for service functionality, such as sending tickets, registration confirmations, or responding to your inquiries. These communications will continue even if you opt out of marketing emails. Stopping all communications may prevent you from receiving important updates regarding events you have created or registered for.
(e) Retention
Opt-out requests may take up to forty-eight (48) hours to process. We will retain your Personal Data as required by this Privacy Policy but will not use it for further communications. Organizers who have previously received your Personal Data may still contact you in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Do Not Track
We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals or similar mechanisms.
Targeted Advertising
We may work with advertising partners to show ads based on your interests. To opt out of targeted advertising, for “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” submit your request through our available contact channel.
Exclusions
Personal Data Provided to Others
This Privacy Policy does not cover any Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to other users or visitors through our Services or by any other means. This includes information shared with event organizers on event pages or information you post in public areas of the Services.
Third Party Links
This Privacy Policy applies only to our Services. The Services may contain links to websites or resources not operated or controlled by us (“Third Party Sites”). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these Third-Party Sites. Linking to a Third-Party Site does not imply endorsement or review. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
Children
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors. If you are a minor, you must not submit any Personal Data through the Services.
Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing their children not to provide Personal Data through our platform without permission.
If you believe that a minor has provided Personal Data through our platform, please contact us. We will take reasonable steps to delete such information from our records.
International Privacy Laws
If you access the Services from outside Nigeria, please note that your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to servers located in Nigeria or other countries where our service providers operate.
